Pilates mat Traditional Mat Pilates workout that will incorporate the Pilates principles of Concentration, Control, Center, Fluidity, Precision and Breath. Participants will leave feeling stronger with more flexible muscles along with greater posture and increased energy.
Pilates apparatus includes the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder barrel, Spine Corrector and more. The springs and the assistance given by the various pieces of equipment provide an ideal combination of support and resistance. This allows the participant to focus on and develop individual muscle groups and improve core strength. Barre is an energetic, fun workout that fuses fitness techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. All fitness levels welcome. FREE to HAC members. Space is limited. Please arrive early for your spot at the barre.
HOT Barre Class
Held in the Ruby Studio at a temperature of 95 degrees, Develop lean and agile bodies by incorporating small props, free weights and a barre. Focus on strengthening and stretching the major muscle groups in order to create a “dancer-like” physique that is both strong and trim. HOT Yoga rates apply.
Hot Pilates Sculpt
Use light weights, resistance bands and Pilates magic circles to further enhance and intensify the workout based on Joseph Pilates classical mat work. Expect to challenge your strength, control and balance. Pilates mat experience recommended.HOT Yoga rates apply.
Hot Pilates Sculpt & Restore
Use light weights, resistance bands and Pilates magic circles to further enhance and intensify the workout based on Joseph Pilates classical mat work. Expect to challenge your strength, control and balance. Pilates mat experience recommended. 75 minute class to strengthen, lengthen and balance the body followed by flexibility exercises to promote relaxation and stress reduction. HOT Yoga rates apply.
Move, stretch, kick, plank and twist. This 45 minute class will give an all-over body workout while stabilizing your core or Powerhouse. Class uses Pilates based moves to enhance balance, simulate sport-related moves and sometimes uses quick intervals to change muscle memory. Weights, bands, balls and barre are may be used. All fitness levels are welcome.
Pilates Introductory Series
Begin your Pilates training with a comprehensive (mat + reformer) six-week Pilates Fundamentals Series. Designed for first-time Pilates students. Develop basic skills and terminology, and learn basic usages of equipment while enhancing core strength, flexibility and physical endurance.
