The Harbor programs Prenatal Aqua Fit, Prenatal Yoga and Postnatal Pilates are run through the Harbor website and Mind Body. Prenatal aqua fit is designed as a safe and fun way for pregnant women to get their cardio, strength and core work in, all while in the weightless comfort of a pool. Each session includes a variety of moves borrowed from traditional water fitness classes and swim team classes that will help participants get their heart rate up and strengthen all those muscles that a new mom will need. Swim skill is not required and we never put our faces in, however we will sometime be in water over your head.
After pregnancy your abdominal muscles have been stretched and weakened. Your joints are loose and unstable. There’s a cure—and it’s called Pilates. Regain alignment and symmetry. Stabilize the pelvic floor. Find a flatter belly. Pilates is a wonderful compliment to our Stroller Strides and Body Back classes. This class is limited to 6 participants and is on the reformer. Recommended for those who are three months to three years (or more!) postpartum. New Pilates Students welcome.

Prenatal Yoga uses postures, breathing, and meditation to help ease pregnancy, delivery, and the after effects of birth. The classes create strength, focus, flexibility and awareness through a gentle practice designed especially for the pregnant woman’s needs.

Stroller Strides is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment. Taught by certified and specially trained fitness instructors, it is a great workout for any level of exerciser. Stroller Strides instructors weave songs and activities into the routine designed to entertain and engage baby, while moms are led through a series of exercises specific to her role as mom. Classes are offered outdoors May-October and indoors November-April.
Coming in September! Fit4Baby is a prenatal fitness program that teaches women how to exercise safely and effectively throughout their pregnancy. The hour long Fit4Baby class is interval based, combining elements of strength training, cardiovascular exercises and stretching and balancing exercises. We train and certify our Fit4Baby instructors so they are fully equipped to lead a pregnant woman in exercises that are safe and appropriate for her changing body. The class is for all stages of pregnancy.
