Grounding Yoga for Tranquility

People live with varying degrees of stress and anxiety, especially during the holiday season. The stress hormone, cortisol, is known to affect overall health. It is possible to restore the body and rest the mind through thoughtful movement and quiet sitting. With the intention to lower stress levels in the body, students will practice meditation and learn ways to breathe. In this series we will approach standing and seated poses as a means to ground and soften the feeling of fight, freeze, or flight in the body.
