Meet the Coaches
Rachael, a USA swimming certified coach since 1992, has coached swimmers of all ages in Wisconsin, Arizona and Maryland. She has produced state champions in all three states and has coached more than a dozen swimmers to a top 8 ranking in the country. She was a site manager of North Baltimore swim school (now called the Michael Phelps Swim School) for 9 years before returning to Madison. She is now the Swim School coordinator at Harbor.
Ryan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Ryan has worked with several athletic teams at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in fitness and concentration in strength and conditioning. Ryan has worked with athletes of all ability levels and sports including youth, high school, collegiate, and professional. Ryan’s current passion lies in the sport of triathlon at all distances, encompassing the multi-sport lifestyle and mental disciplines. Ryan competed in Ironman Arizona in 2010 and is currently training for more Iron distance races with an ambition to dive into the Ultraman distance.
Becky, a USAT certified triathlon coach, has been participating in the sport of Triathlon for 10 years. She has competed in all race distances with an emphasis on the Iron distance, racing 9 Ironman Wisconsin triathlons. She loves the process and the challenge each distance and discipline brings! In addition, she has taught sport emphasized cycling classes for Harbor for over 10 years and has now joined the Harbor team as a personal trainer and coach. She loves everything about the sport, the lifestyle and the energy that surrounds it!
Moira has achieved sport specific certification through USA Track & Field, the NSCAA and has additional certifications through A.C.E and TRX. A 4 time All-American and former runner for New Balance, Moira also spent 10 years as a collegiate track and soccer coach. Moira’s primary focus is running and places a strong emphasis on core strength, flexibility and stability.
