Intro
to Yoga
No
experience required. This
class introduces students to fundational yoga postures
and to basic breath work, extablishing an understanding
of a yoga practice. This five week session requires
a preregistration and a one time fee. Call the Wellness
Center for sign up and rates at 821-6501.
Level
1
This
on going class builds on to the postures and breath work
learned in Intro to Yoga. Geared towards the
beginning student and those seeking a gentle yoga class,
this class covers the basics of standing, seated, twisted
and balancing postures.
Level
2
Three
months of Level 1 recommended. The postures learned
in Level 1 will be refined and the time spent
in poses will be extended. New and more challenging postures
are introduced. Students are developing an understanding
of their limitations and strengthens.
Level
3
One
year of Yoga practice recommended. Building on the strength,
flexibility and stamina developed in Level 2,
asanas are now linked together in a flowing sequence.
This class refines back extensions, inversions and various
centering techniques.
Level
4
One
year practicing two times a week recommended. A challenging
vinyasa style class, blending extended holds in complex
asanas.
