Fighting Fit is a combination of functional fitness exercises, conditioning drills, discussion, and practical physical training. This class is designed for those interested in increasing their self-awareness, challenging themselves mentally and physically and interested in answering some of the ‘what if’ safety questions. Would you like to know what to do if someone grabs you from behind? Have you ever wondered how to protect yourself from getting hit or attacked? How to stay alert and aware? Qi Gong Intro Series

Qigong (chi-gung) means “working or playing with energy”. It involves flowing movements, breath exercises and self-massage to coax the body and mind into a calm meditative state. This 6 week evening practice is designed to enhance energy flow, release tension from the day and encourage a focused relaxed feeling for whatever lies ahead. Learn a simple series to practice alone or at home. For all levels. May be performed standing or seated. Sandy Powers is certified through the Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi. A deep water Arthritis class designed to offer a greater challenge to participants able to tolerate more activity than the standard Arthritis class format in the Warm Water Pool.
