SWIM- PLAY- EXPLORE
This week was all about celebrating and learning about our great country. The week started out a little more slowly with a STEM activity where we made fireworks in a jar, and completed USA puzzle races. We kept it cool by swimming and exploring per usual.
Things started heating up on Wednesday when we went on a field trip to the Wisconsin State Capitol building and downtown area. We were so fortunate to have Former State Assembly Man Mike Sheridan give us a special private tour! He was a wealth of information as well as a bunch of fun. We even got to have the official Capitol Photographer (there are only 2) take our group picture! After our tour we walked to Memorial Union Terrace, sipped on lemonade and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
We ended the week with a bang with a good ole American cook out. We grilled hot dogs, and ate bomb pops and celebrated not only our great county, but a great week as camp friends.
