Harbor Athletic & Canvas Club Boxing are heading down the road and setting up studios at Middleton Fire District- Station 1

When we first walked into the studios at Station 1, all that Harbor & Canvas represents was on display: strength, resiliency, never giving up, and “Training for Life.” It’s one of the most motivating settings we’ve been in.

We couldn’t be more excited for our partnership with the Middleton Fire District. We are honored to serve our firefighters who give so much, and at the same time we get to share this amazing space and the energy it gives with you all!  You can catch studio level classes at Station 1 like TRX, Barre Bootcamp and Spin as well as Sweat Box & Skills Box.

  • Studio membership required or studio pass
    • Monthly unlimited: $99/month
    • HAC members: 10 class pass for $99
    • Non-members: 10 class pass for $180
  • Parking lot on premises (Please leave the spots in the front row open for fire department). Pull up, park and head to class!
  • Enter through the side door with the Harbor+Canvas sign
  • Door opens 15 minutes prior to class time (staff may not be present but you can enter).
  • For CANVAS CLUB classes: Walk past the fire trucks until you reach the lobby doors and take a left to go downstairs.
  • For TRX classes: Use upper deck studio – walk past the fire trucks and take the stairs on the right to the upper deck.
  • There are 2 individual bathrooms on the main level and a bathroom in the station lobby you can use.
  • Drinking fountain with bottle filler is located on the main floor in the station lobby.
  • Please use the benches and hooks to store your items.
  • No street shoes in the studio.
  • *PLEASE NOTE* Middleton Fire Station 1 is a fully operational fire station and there may be calls and alarms that go off during classes. Please be aware of your surroundings and give the fire department the space they need. Class will continue even if there is a current call.

SWEAT BOX

  • Ready to sweat like a boxer? Take on the roll of a boxer in training (no contact) in our signature 45-minute sweat box workout, with intense intervals led by our Canvas Coaches. Cardio, core, speed and agility will be used throughout the class. Our goal is to get your heart rate up and take you out of your comfort zone. Heavy bags, light pad work and ring drills will be used. Experience high metabolic burn and an endorphin rush that will keep you coming back for another round.

SKILLS BOX

  • Ready to learn more? Skills box is a 45-minute boxing workout that will focus on boxing technique and form. Our goal is to help you think and move like a boxer. They call boxing the noble art because it is truly an art form. Pad work, partner work, ring drills, and footwork drills will be used to help you understand the “why” behind what boxers do. Come to learn and practice and don’t worry about shuttle runs and burpees. (Prerequisites required – coaches approval. If you were taking ring work classes you don’t need approval again).

STRENGTH BOX

  • You can still get your punches in during this 45-minute boxing workout, but this class format focuses on strength. We will utilize equipment like TRX, weights, kettlebells, tires, dumbbells and more. Similar to the sweat class, but we take out the cardio intervals.

TRX

  • Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete 100s of exercises.

BARRE BOOTCAMP

  • An energetic, fun workout that fuses fitness techniques from Dance, Pilates, and Yoga that will tone, define and chisel the whole body. We step it up a notch by adding cardio and other intervals to a typical barre class. All fitness levels welcome.
