Club Updates

Life is different now. But at Harbor, we remain anchored in our mission to help you Train for Life. We have spent the last several months developing new programming and options for you to find time to take care of your health and wellness- whether it is in the Club in person, or at home. Here are a few highlights:

  • Classes Under The Tent: We have added an outdoor tent behind our Sport Court and many classes now have the opportunity to meet outside.  Register here.
  • TRX Outdoor Classes: We have a TRX A-frame set up outside of our Wellness Studios so that classes can meet outdoors.  Register Here.
  • Classes at Marshall Park: Come join us at the Boat House at Marshall Park for a variety of Wellness classes.  Register here.
  • Harbor at Home Virtual Programming: Virtual classes are on the schedule every day for you to join us from home. If the class time doesn’t work, don’t worry! We have a Library of previously recorded content you can watch on demand. Register Here.
  • Youth Enrichment: Need help with child care in the fall? Our new Youth Enrichment program will keep your young ones thriving in a SAFE environment- more info here.
  • Harbor Recess: We know it’s been hard for our parents to find their time for fitness with Kids Club closed. Our Harbor Recess class is designed for ages 3 and up (must be potty trained) to be dropped off for some fun with our Harbor Youth staff and we have corresponding Adult Express classes at the same time. Register here.
  • Pools are all OPEN: All four of our pools are open and taking reservations. Aquatic fitness and Masters Swim programs are all going on now.  Reserve Pool Time.
  • Personal Training and Small Group Training- This is an ideal time to work with a Trainer- either alone or in a small group, and in person or virtually. Our Trainers all have dedicated space in the Club to limit exposure to others. Small group reformer classes are also going on at Wellness.

Hours:

  • Monday-Thursday 5:00 am – 11:00 pm
  • Friday 5:00 am – 10:00 pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 5:00 am – 7:00 pm

Effective Monday, July 13th 2020, in accordance with Dane County Public Health, Emergency Order #8 masks must be worn while you are indoors at Harbor. The only exception at this time is when you are swimming indoors. We have a wide offering of outdoor classes as well as virtual options that you can do from home. Check MindBody for the latest offerings.

Locker Rooms:

  • Locker rooms are open.
  • Magnet/sticky notes provided to indicate what lockers have been used and require cleaning by the Harbor team.

Weight Room:

  • The weight room is currently available open to close. 
  • A sanitation station is set up at the room entry where members will collect a spray bottle and towel to use to clean their equipment as they workout.
  • Equipment has been spaced out to allow for adequate social distancing and we ask members to practice social distancing on their own.

Cardio Area:

  • The cardio area is currently available open to close.  A sanitation station is set up at the room entry where members will collect a spray bottle and towel to use to clean their equipment as they workout.

Pools:

  • Our pool are all currently open and taking reservations for use. Please see the Pools tab for more details.
  • Time designated for ADULTS SWIM is open for adults only to swim and exercise independently. Children are not allowed in the pool or whirlpool area during these designated times.
  • FAMILY SWIM is reserved for our family memberships and we ask that single adults not occupy a time slot
  • To register your family for family swim, you only need to register one adult in the family
  • During family swim, your space is for your and your immediate family members. No guests, no Friends who are members
  • Reserve a spot or a lane in the in the pools for 45 minutes.
  • Each reservation can be made a day in advance and each person can reserve one space a day
  • The pool will be cleared 45 minutes from start time, regardless of when you get in the water.
  • Kickboards, pull buoys and the hot tubs will not be available.
  • Upon completion of your swim, you will have 15 minutes in the sport pool locker room.
  • “No Shows” may be subject to a fee and a loss of reservation privileges.
  • Members must check in at the front desk when they arrive.

Racquetball:  

  • Racquetball courts available for casual play. Two players maximum per court unless from the same family. Sign up available now. Register for a racquetball court one day in advance. Court assignment will be given upon arrival.
  • Racquetball court reservations are for MEMBERS ONLY. You must be SIGNED IN to MindBody to see the sign up button.

Common areas:

  • The lobby area is currently closed. 
  • The outdoor pool deck is open and available for use as long as members practice social distancing.

Personal Training:

LIVE BODYPUMP classes video streamed into the cycle studio to allow more participants in one time slot.
Registration will be available for all classes the day prior at 12:01am on our MindBody scheduler.
There is no waiting list for classes. If you sign up and can no longer can attend, please let us know within a minimum of 4 hours of class, either by calling the club or by cancelling on MindBody.

Additional livestream BodyPump to the cycle room = 8

LIVE OUTDOOR UNDER THE TENT:
• The tent is located in the back parking lot of the Harbor Main building. To limit traffic flow in the Club, you may go directly to class Under The Tent rather than checking in in the lobby. We will check you in to class.
• Bring your mask with you in case you go into the club for anything
• Bring a mat, towel and water.
• Sculpt class will include body weight exercises, resistance bands and dumbbells.
• Bodypump equipment will be set out for you outside (no dumbbells or Smart Bars will be outside) Individual spray bottles and towels will be available to wipe off equipment after class.
• We have spots marked under the tent with an “X” that allows for 8-10 ft of social distancing. If you would like more space, you may stand anywhere outside of the tent except in the designated entrance for Life kneads and Jungle day care.

Please wait until everyone from the previous class has exited the tent.

LIVE in the club:
• 10 Boxes are located on the floor to mark space available socially distanced
• Individual spray bottles and towels will be available to wipe off equipment after class.
• Leave equipment the same as you found it in your square.
• Please wear your mask for the entire class and while in the building.

VIRTUAL Classes and Training

While we operate fewer classes LIVE in the Club, we have transitioned some classes to virtual.  Check out the schedule here. You register for a spot and then will get the log-in information for the class.

Pilates Reformer/Tower classes are currently being offered at the Wellness Studios. Instructors are also available for Private Instruction.

Our Wellness Studios are currently closed to classes other than Pilates reformer and tower classes. Check out Yoga, Barre, Pilates and Tai Chi at Marshall Park and Yoga and Pilates Under the Tent at the main building. If you aren’t ready to come back to the Club in person, check out our Virtual Classes where you will see many favorites such as Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Roll to Release. Our Parkinson’s Classes have also moved to the Virtual platform.

Learn, grow, create & train for life!

We are excited to announce our new Youth Enrichment Program, a blended version of our summer camp and after school care. The Harbor Youth Enrichment Program offers a safe and structured setting where children ages 7 and up will receive 4 or 8 hours of enrichment to enhance their mind, body and spirit. Programming is led by education and fitness professionals and includes structured homework time, creative activities, tutoring, physical activity, quiet space and more!

Additional Youth Offerings:

Harbor Recess: Monday at 10:30 am and Wednesday at 10:45 am. Drop your kids off for some fun and games with our Harbor Youth Staff while you get your workout in. Kids ages 3 and up (must be potty trained).

DEDICATED CLEANING TEAM

In addition to our normal full time maintenance staff, we will have additional staff assigned to different areas of the club at cleaning/check In points.

CLEANING STATIONS

Towels and cleaning spray will be available at different stations throughout the club and at the entry points. Please return towels upon exiting the building.

CLEANING WIPES/HOSPITAL GRADE CLEANER

We will provide wipes & hospital grade cleaner throughout the club. It is important that all members diligently clean their equipment before and after use. You will have the option to take a towel and cleaner when you check in.

NIGHTLY DEEP CLEANING

We will be closed from 11pm-5am to allow for a building wide deep cleaning and to give our staff time to reassess the needs in certain areas. List of cleaning/sanitizing products used at end of packet.

A Safer Way To Be Together

Limited Number of Members in Each Space

Each area in the club will be limited in number of users based on appropriate distancing requirements from the government. 

New, Extra Space

We will be utilizing all areas of club to help keep social distance and eliminate extra contact with other members. We will also utilize outdoor spaces and parks.

No Basketball or Racquetball

In accordance to Governor Evers orders, group sports courts will be closed until further notice. We hope to offer these options in the near future!

Spaced Equipment

Equipment has either been moved/spaced appropriately or blocked from use to maintain proper distancing. Everyone must wipe down their equipment before and after use.

Team Member Health Checks

All employees will complete a health screening before their shift. Temperatures will be taken and they will be checked for any symptoms. Employees are required to stay home if they have any symptoms.

Protective Wear

Staff who are interacting with members at check in points and front desk will be wearing masks for the first phase.

Staying Home

We are asking employees to continue to work from home whenever possible. We will limit tasks that have to be done at the club & around people.

Social Distancing

Staff will also social distance. At this time, employees will not be able to extended conversations or interactions with members. (Don’t take is personally!!)
