About Youth Fitness

It is never too early to develop healthy exercise habits.  At Harbor, we are known for our wide variety of group classes for kids of all ages from toddlers to teens.  These classes teach sportsmanship, respect, and team building skills and at the same time improve fitness levels through specialized activities.  Our offerings include strength and agility training, choreographed dance performance to music, or more sports-specific sessions such as swimming or racquetball lessons.

Our programs are designed help children develop positive behaviors at an early age. Kids grow up fast. Let Harbor help inspire them in their pursuit of lifelong fitness.

Train for Life - Youth and Teen Athletic Conditioning

This Train for Life class was developed to help your youth athlete have a safe and successful return to the court or field. During this 4 week program youth athletes will build their strength and increase their speed safely. To prevent injury, we will progress through a variety of speed and agility drills as well as focus on form and technique for strength exercises. Class is for ages ages 9-12 or 13+

Train for Life - Youth and Teen Strength

This Train for Life class was developed to help your youth athlete build their strength in a safe environment. During this 4 week program youth athletes will learn proper form and technique to help prevent injury. We will progress the athletes during the 4 weeks and ensure that they are able to navigate the weight room safely. A certified trainer will be giving feedback to each athlete because we know every body is different and has different needs.  Ages 9-12 or Ages 13+.

Youth Summer Camp

Welcome to Harbor Summer Camp! Our days are going to be full of a variety of activities to help your camper Train for Life- using both their body and their mind.

Summer Camp

Each day camp will consist of spending as much time as we can outside, although we do have a large indoor space as back up in the event of bad weather to ensure social distancing.

Your campers will experience:
– Open air, no contact games, like kickball and soccer
– Nature walks to the park
– Boot camp or other fitness classes outside
– Reading time- campers should bring a book each day!
– Creative time- think crafts and science experiments!
– Tie-dye- our grand finale on the final day of camp!

Each camper will receive a t-shirt, water bottle and drawstring backpack on their first day. We ask that they bring their water bottle, a book and sunscreen to camp each day in their backpack to help keep track of everything. Please make sure your child comes wearing good gym shoes and clothes they can exercise in. No flip flops or crocs are permitted.

To stay safe, we ask that campers wear a mask to camp each day and as we travel in areas where we will be near other people. Upon entry to camp, each child will be asked to sanitize their hands and frequently throughout the day. It will be required that campers keep their distance from other kids otherwise they will need to wear a mask during camp as well. All instructors will be wearing masks.

Space is limited to 10 campers per week, ages 7-11. Please contact John with questions!
