About Youth Fitness

It is never too early to develop healthy exercise habits.  At Harbor, we are known for our wide variety of group classes for kids of all ages from toddlers to teens.  These classes teach sportsmanship, respect, and team building skills and at the same time improve fitness levels through specialized activities.  Our offerings include strength and agility training, choreographed dance performance to music, or more sports-specific sessions such as swimming or racquetball lessons.

Our programs are designed help children develop positive behaviors at an early age. Kids grow up fast. Let Harbor help inspire them in their pursuit of lifelong fitness.

Bootcamp

Ages 6+. A class for all levels of fitness focusing on core strengthening, hand-eye coordination, and speed & agility. There are two different obstacle courses and if time permits we finish with a fun game!

Dodgeball

Ages 7+. A supervised playground favorite. Catch, throw, dodge, if not you’re out! Sometimes you’re on a team, sometimes you’re on your own.

Motor Skills & Sports

Ages 3+. A fun variety of different fundamental skills from catching, throwing, kicking, and running!

Little Bitty Gymmies

Ages 1-3. A fun gymnastic-inspired exercise and exploration class.  Your child will be given the freedom to explore around the safely planned course, while being able to hang, jump, roll, and be silly with spotting from instructors. $

 

Little Yogis

Ages 3-5. Kids will improve concentration and focus, stimulate their imagination and help to release energy in a fun, safe environment. Using interactive games, music, and animated postures, kids learn about animals, nature, and basic anatomy through yoga.

Running & Agility

Ages 6+. Burn off some extra energy while improving strength, agility, and a positive attitude. Class involves warm up drills, running on the indoor track, and games.

Soccer

Ages 4-6. Plain and simple, FUN with a soccer ball.

Strength Training

Ages 9-13. Children will learn proper form and gym etiquette for bodyweight, TRX, and weight room exercises. This class is structured to safely teach a progression of exercise volume and intensity, as well as injury prevention with stability and balance moves. Most of all, kids will learn that fitness can be fun! Instructed by certified personal trainer(s). Appropriate for all levels from beginner to advanced athlete. Maximum participant to trainer ratio of 6:1.  $

TRX - Train to Play

Ages 7+. Participants will learn a variety of movement patterns to enhance their ABC’s (agility, balance and coordination), while focusing on a new sports theme each week.
Foundational movements will be introduced using several modalities (TRX, BOSU, resistance bands, jump ropes, etc) to keep fitness fresh, fun and age appropriate. $

Moves & Grooves

Ages 6+.  Move and groove along to a choreographed dance routine to fun music and themes! Perfection is not in our vocabulary, but FUN is! All levels of dancers are welcome to participate! The class will conclude with a performance on the last day.

Youth Workshops

A break in school shouldn’t mean a break from life in action! Harbor Youth offers activities, workshops and camps throughout the year to coincide school holiday and summer breaks.
