Julie Jacobson

Biography:

I have a BS degree in Sociology/Physical Education (UWEC)  and have worked in health & fitness for 36 years….starting right here at Century Harbor Racquetball Club in 1978 as an Assistant Mgr/Racquetball ‘Pro’;  organizing leagues, tourneys, teaching lessons and playing competitively in local, State and National tournaments.  After a few years at another local club, I came back to Harbor in 1992,  to expand the racquetball programs.   I also became interested in and started teaching aquatic exercise as a certified AEA instructor in 1994 and am currently the Aquatic Exercise Director for the Sport and Warm pools.  Racquetball was my first ‘love’ and I really enjoy teaching the game, as it is a great ‘lifetime’ sport, and a FUN way to get exercise.  Aquatic exercise has been my favorite ‘low-impact’ program to increase strength and cardiovascular endurance ….I truly believe it should be a part of everyone’s fitness routine.  I enjoy seeing members of my Arthritis class improve their quality of life with increased fitness, less pain, and new friends!

I also enjoy bicycling, skiing with my husband and son, watching sports…especially Badger basketball, and reading.   I hope to be a part of Harbor’s ‘family’  for many more years!
