Biography:
Teaching yoga is an absolute joy. I love to serve students by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a space where they can get out of their heads and into their bodies. Mixing mindfulness with movement, my goal is to leave students feeling better than when they arrive. I consider it the ultimate compliment hearing a student simply say “Thank you” on the way out. That’s my job and my joy.
A Madisonian by way of Chicago and originally Oklahoma, I fell in love with our city and state when my wife brought me to visit her family. Together she and I created a mindfulness company called MogaMind which helps people gain the benefits of mindfulness through the power of music. We love to be active in our community and spend a lot of time with our kids (furry ones included) exploring the sights, sounds, and wonders of Wisconsin. I also enjoy building furniture for my wife (harvest table, porch benches, coffee table, floating vanity, et al.) as well discovering the universes in the little moments with my children.
I am extremely grateful for my yoga teacher training under Alex Pfeifer at The Studio in Madison and generally consider myself to be an incredibly lucky person getting to make people smile and feel better. I conclude each class with a simple phrase: “The light in me, recognizes the light in you and all I can say is Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!”
